On today's Oprah Winfrey Show Comedian Dave Chappelle denied accusations and rumors that he was on drugs when he left his Comedy Central TV show during production last spring.
“I wasn’t crazy but it is incredibly stressful,” he told Oprah. “I felt in a lot of instances I was deliberately being put through stress because when you’re a guy who generates money, people have a vested interest in controlling you.”
Chappelle said that when he left his show, he went to South Africa for two weeks and then returned home to his Ohio farm.
He said that he might consider filming the rest of the third and fourth seasons under certain conditions. For example, he'd like to donate some of the proceeds from DVD sales to the less fortunate.
