Good list but definitely out of order in some places and missing some important names such as John Lennon, Bob Marley (be ashamed of yourselves), Elliot Smith, Allman Bros.,...and more.
Pink Floyd at 80 and James Brown (who couldn't even read) in the 50's? Talking about songwriters right? Joni Mitchell and Costello in the top ten is pure insanity. Should have gone a little more like this if lyrics are rendered:
