Scholastic announced this morning that Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, the series’ seventh and final book, will hit stores everywhere at 12:01 a.m. on July 21 for the price of $34.99.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, J.K. Rowling’s sixth installment of the Harry Potter legacy, became the fastest-selling book in history when 6.9 million copies flew off the shelves on July 16, 2005. All six have been number one bestsellers in the U.S., the U.K. and around the world.
No word yet on whether Harry or any of his friends (or enemies) will meet their maker in The Deathly Hallows, but if that title’s any indication, then the answer may be obvious.
