Morrissey started something that he couldn’t finish. He quit the Boston show mid-way through Tuesday night after his throat acted up, and he’s still ill. Please excuse him from live shows, he's got this terrible infection coming on. These things take time to clear up, so his doctor’s ordered him to rest his vocal chords through Friday. What difference does it make, you ask? Tomorrow night’s show in Philadelphia is postponed – but don’t panic on the streets, your tickets are valid for an eventual make-up show and Saturday’s Madison Square Garden concert is still on.
Maybe you’d like to smash every tooth in his head, but how could anybody possibly know how he feels? The only one around here who has Morrissey’s sore larynx is Morrissey. Heaven knows he’s miserable now, even if he is getting a break.
