Now time to start the debates about what the Golden Globes messed up on, especially since there are some rather odd choices. For instance, there's no Knocked Up or Ratatouille nominated for best comedy and an equally jarring absence of The Office in television categories except for best actor. The lack of P.T. Anderson for best director also seems rather strange as well. On the other hand, there's an equal number of smart choices in there, as Juno is given the respect it deserves, as is 30 Rock.
The actual awards will take place on January 13. The Academy Awards will follow this up on February 24, but usually the Golden Globes are a decent indicator of where things will be headed there.
