In November, we brought you coverage of Darfur Now, including an interview with filmmaker Ted Braun. Now, as the documentary nears its DVD release, musical artists and screenings are popping up all over the United States.
A smattering of colleges nationwide will host special screenings of Darfur Now along with a concert to raise awareness about Sudanese genocide. The film follows six individuals' response to the crisis, including actor Don Cheadle, who opted for activism after seeing the genocide with his own eyes when filming 2004's Hotel Rwanda.
