Description:
During their visit to Paste, Frontier Ruckus set two new records for our
studio. First, the Michigan-based band fit more performers on our
approximately nine-by-nine foot stage than we ever thought possible.
Then, they performed nearly twice as many songs as any other visiting
artist, earning them the somewhat-prestigious title of "most prolific
performers in Paste Studio history." Both of the band's newly-won titles
may be completely trivial, but they seem to hint at what makes this band
so wonderful. The music of Frontier Ruckus possesses a level of intimacy
that could only come from a group comfortable practically performing in
one-another's laps. And the only tighter fit than the band's positioning
may have been some of the vocal harmonies we heard during the set.
Secondly, the band's willingness to play indefinitely seemed to stem
from their love of playing. That affinity for performance seems to shine
through best in their song "Adirondack Amish Holler."
Worried about sound quality? Don't be. These MP3s are encoded at 320kbps, the highest quality allowed by the MP3 standard.
