Description: You could call it bravado, panache, or perhaps "rock star confidence." Whatever it is, The Deep Vibration has plenty to spare. When the band arrived at the Paste studios, they were dressed to the nines, in suits that would have looked just as hip in the 1960's as they did last month. While they looked the part, it's often difficult to perform to a room about the size of a large living room. However, when lead singer Matt Campbell took the stage at Paste, he brought all the energy required to rock a sold-out show. That commitment to their music has been the catalyst for much of the early success of the young band. And while the band has gained some attention for their reverence for early rock, the Deep Vibration have proven they are certainly more than musical re-enactors. In their song "Oklahoma City Woman Blues," the band exemplifies their ability to borrow from the classics while making their sound all their own.
