Description:Thanks to our small space and musicians’ tight schedules, Paste Studio performances are usually lo-fi affairs. But Clare and the Reasons’ set started with a light show. Granted, it involved blinking Dollar Store lights attached to the band members’ heads and one fiber-optic lamp that looked like a school carnival prize, but the effect was lovely nonetheless. It quite complimented Clare Muldar’s off-kilter, beautifully earnest music, including featured song “Pluton,” in which she offers sweet condolences to the dwarf for its recent planetary exclusion.
