Description:North Carolina native Jeremy Aggers may not have re-invented folk music with his recent EP What It Comes Down To, but he certainly has made a record worth hearing. Aggers combines vivid lyrics with clever instrumentation to create songs that are almost certain to get stuck in your head.

During Aggers’ session at Paste, his manager brought in cupcakes for the staff at Paste. The offer of homemade dessert wasn’t enough to lure several members of the staff from their desks to see Jeremy play. After his opening song “The Leather Strap” began resounding through the halls, even the most focused writers had to take a break from their work to listen to the rest of Aggers’ set
