Description:Perhaps more than any other genre of music, bluegrass runs the risk of being ruined by an overabundance of unrestrained talent. For many musicians, the ability to play so well and so quickly seems to trump the ability to make great music leading to musical acrobatics rather than great musical expression. Luckily, Trampled By Turtles haven’t fallen for that trap. Instead, the band’s latest efforts are both thoughtful and musically compelling. Their song “Bloodshot Eyes” is a perfect example. — Kevin Keller
