Singer/fiddle player Tracy Grammer recently announced she's putting the finshing touches on a new album of unrecorded songs by Dave Carter. It is set for release later this year.
"John Jennings is co-producing with me," said Grammer, "and we are honored to have Jon Carroll, Jim Henry, Rob Schnell, Lorne Entress, Mike Rivard, Mary Chapin Carpenter and others on board to make it beautiful."
Songwriter Dave Carter—who suffered a fatal heart attack July 19, 2002—was Grammer's musical accomplice and "partner in all things." After his passing, Grammer dubbed herself Carter's "earthly ambassador" and continued to tour, keeping his songs alive. This new project will continue that mission, bringing Carter's tunes to an ever-expanding audience.
