The final installment of Acoustic Disc’s long-running series of early-’90s Jerry Garcia/David Grisman collaborations, Been All Around This World, features spontaneous, whispery, pull-up-a-stump by the campfire-style versions of everything from folk, country and bluegrass standards to covers of Bob Dylan and Jimmy Cliff. It’s a shame that such a beautiful vein of music must run dry, but the 40 albums these acoustic innovator/ traditionalists brought us will last for ages.
