Mindy Smith to Emabark on National Tour

Singer/songwriter Mindy Smith will soon embark on a headlining tour produced and presented by House of Blues Entertainment, Inc. The 29-date national tour will begin Oct. 1 in Asheville, N.C., and end at the new House of Blues in Cleveland on Nov. 21. Special guests Charlie Mars and Garrison Starr will join Smith in selected markets. Tickets are now on sale.

In October, Smith will also be featured as a Sirius House of Blues Emerging Artist of the Month, a series developed by House of Blues and Sirius Satellite Radio to provide young artists with national exposure. Past Emerging Artists have included Coldplay and Kanye West. On the strength of her Vanguard Records debut, One Moment More Smith was recently nominated by the Americana Music Association in three categories (New/Emerging Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year) for the 2004 Americana Awards to be held in Nashville on Sept. 24. Her music video, "Come To Jesus," is currently in rotation on VH1.
