Singer/songwriter Mindy Smith will be among the performers at the UNICEF Snowflake Lighting Ceremony in New York City on Thursday, Nov. 18. The live, outdoor holiday event, which will be held in front of The Plaza Hotel and is open to the public, will be televised live on CBS2 from 7 to 8 p.m., and will culminate with the lighting of the giant snowflake that hangs high above Tiffany's and Bergdorf Goodman at 57th Street and Fifth Avenue.
Actress and UNICEF Ambassador Sarah Jessica Parker will light the largest outdoor chandelier of its kind, which sparkles with 12,000 glittering Baccarat crystals. Musical performers include, Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter and UNICEF's newest National Ambassador India.Arie, Wyclef Jean, Obie Bermudez, the People's Chorus of New York City and the cast of Mamma Mia!.
