The Postal Service Reaches Agreement with USPS

Sub Pop Records has announced that The Postal Service has finally reached an agreement with the United States Postal Service, and the band no longer has to consider changing its name. As part of the agreement, the group will play a three-song set at the USPS convention in Washington, D.C. on Nov. 17.

With total sales nearing 400,000, The Postal Service’s Give Up ranks second only to Nirvana’s Bleach in Sub Pop’s history.

In other Sub Pop news, watch for new records by Iron & Wine, Love as Laughter, Kinski, Fruit Bats and Wolf Parade (produced by Modest Mouse's Isaac Brock) in 2005.
