The third annual Langerado Music Festival will be held at Markham Park in Sunrise, Fla.—a sprawling facility perched at the eastern edge of the Everglades Conservation Area. Taking place Saturday, Mar. 12, and Sunday, Mar. 13, 2005, the festival will offer over 20 acts, performing on 3 stages from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Langerado's current lineup includes headliners The String Cheese Incident (two nights), Medeski, Martin & Wood, Toots and the Maytals, Keller Williams, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, Michael Franti & Spearhead, De La Soul, MOFRO, Particle, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Soulive, Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, Robert Walters 20th Congress, Kaki King and many others. Through a partnership with Sonic Bids, one unsigned band will also have the opportunity to perform at the festival. In addition to live music, Langerado will once again host a Bier Garden featuring micro-brewed beers from around the country, as well 40+ vendors selling their crafts.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Dec. 10 at 10 a.m. EST at www.langerado.com. Local retail ticket outlets also begin selling tickets Dec. 10. Advance purchase 2-day passes are $75. Day of show 2-day passes will be $95 and, if available, single day tickets will be sold for $50 at the gate. All ticket prices include $1 per day admission to Broward County Parks as well as two day on-site parking. Children 10 and under are admitted free with paid adults.
