Be Here To Love Me is a portrait of Van Zandt's life and career, featuring Van Zandt, Willie Nelson, Sonic Youth’s Steve Shelley, Lyle Lovett, Steve Earle, Guy Clark, Kris Kristofferson and more. The film was directed by Margaret Brown and shot by Lee Daniel (Slacker, Dazed and Confused).
