Modern hip-hop meets legendary jazz on Impulsive!

This fall, Charles Mingus will collaborate with RZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, Boozoo Bajou will work with Pharoah Sanders and Yusef Lateef will join forces with Kid Koala. Well, sort of.

On October 25, Impulsive!, a collection of reworked jazz songs from Impulse! Records, will present material from various jazz legends that has been altered by modern day DJs and hip-hop artists. Also included on the compilation will be Chief Xcel from Blackalicious, Dizzy Gillespie, Prefuse 73, John Coltrane and several others.
