The String Cheese Incident and their publicity company Madison House are teaming up with non-profit organization Conscious Alliance to aid hurricane refugees in Houston.
Over the last two days, Conscious Alliance has already secured $10,000 in donations. They have made arrangements with The Houston Food Bank, America’s Second Harvest Food Bank and Costco, and they will fill a Penske truck with food for hungry refugees. The String Cheese Incident arranged for several more trucks to arrive in Houston, and they are helping to mobilize the music community. Conscious Alliance representatives plan to stay in Houston until the relief funs run out.
All money donated over the next few days will go directly to hurricane victims this weekend, and tax receipts will be provided.
