In what is possibly the first set of shows organized in tribute to a cartoon band, Gorillaz: Demon Days Live will be held at the Manchester Opera House from Nov. 1 through Nov. 5. The event, which is the first of the Manchester International Festival, sold out within hours of going on sale this past Monday.
Among the artists paying tribute to the band will be De La Soul, Shaun Ryder from Happy Mondays, Roots Manuva and other guests to be announced later. Additionally, Gorillaz contributor Damon Albarn will appear in order to help transition the album to a live setting.
