Hanson Matches High School Fundraiser

Hanson Matches High School Fundraiser

When Hanson found out that its hit single “MmmBop” was being used to raise money for those affected by Hurricane Katrina at Delone Catholic High School in McSherrystown, Penn., the band was excited.

Then they found out that the creators of the “Stop The Bop” hurricane relief campaign had vowed to play the song over the loudspeaker every day until a “five-figure financial goal” was reached.

Nonetheless, Hanson (who, at this point, probably feels the same way the students do about the song) agreed to match the school's fundraising dollar for dollar, and will give a copy of its new album Underneath to every student.
