Widespread Panic Announces Final Tour Dates of 2005

Jamband Widespread Panic will cap off their 2005 tour with three shows in Atlanta. The Athens natives will have their annual New Years’ Eve bash at Philips Arena on Dec 30 and 31, and on Dec. 29 the band will play the Tunes for Tots benefit at the Roxy Theater in a rare opportunity for fans to see the band in a small venue.

100 percent of the proceeds from Tunes for Tots will go directly toward funding music education programs for Georgia children. Tickets for the benefit will be $101 for general admission and $301 for VIP tickets, which will include a reception with the band prior to the show.

Widespread Panic will enter the studio in early 2006 to record its first studio album since 2002’s Ball. The CD will hit the street in early summer 2006 and a tour will likely follow.
