David Bazan Announces Solo Record

With the departure of recording partner TW Walsh, Pedro The Lion’s David Bazan has decided to drop the longtime moniker and record under his own name. His next studio album will be released in early 2007.

This doesn’t necessarily mean that the Pedro The Lion name will never be used again, but for now, there will be no touring or new releases under the band's name.

Bazan will also be touring with Vic Chesnutt, Mark Eitzel (American Music Club) and Will Johnson (Centro-matic, South San Gabriel) as the Undertow Orchestra this February. They will share the stage, taking turns performing songs and backing each other on various instruments.
