What do you do when an iconic folk singer is, in her own words, basically retired?
That's right... host a tribute concert! Which is exactly what's happening Feb. 1 at Carnegie Hall, where a star-filled lineup will compete for stage space as they croon Mitchell’s hits. Confirmed performers include Alison Krauss, Cowboy Junkies, eels, Lori Anderson, Suzanne Vega, Shawn Colvin, Joan Osborne, Marc Cohn, Joseph Arthur, Tracy Chapman, Judy Collins, Bebel Gilberto, Betty LaVette, Meshell Ndegeocello, Dar Williams and the Wood Brothers.
Concert tickets range from $30-$225, with proceeds going to the Music for Youth Organization, which supports music-education programs and funds scholarships across the country.
