Director Kelly Reichardt will debut a new film, Old Joy at this year's Sundance Film Festival on Jan. 20. The film, which stars musician Will Oldham (aka Bonnie "Prince" Billy), was co-produced by Todd Haynes (dir. Velvet Goldmine) and features a soundtrack provided by Yo La Tengo.
Oldham and Daniel London (Rent) play two friends who spend a weekend camping near Portland, Ore., confronting their past decisions and the different paths they've taken in life.
Kelly Reichardt first hit the independent film scene in 1994 with her critically acclaimed film, River of Grass. Old Joy is her fourth directorial outing.
