R.I.P. Love Monkey

After just three episodes, CBS has pulled music-geek dream show Love Monkey from its schedule. The program is officially “on hiatus,” but the network currently has no plans to revive it.

While the show garnered positive reviews, its ratings were not strong. Love Monkey debuted with 8.6 million viewers, and the number fell to 6.2 million this week.

Love Monkey stars Tom Cavanagh, as a record executive who goes to work for an indie label. Guests such as Aimee Mann, Ben Folds and James Blunt made appearances on the show.

CBS will air reruns of NCIS and CSI at 10 p.m. on Tuesdays, until The Amazing Race takes Love Monkey's slot the following week.
