Folk-pop icon Paul Simon will release a new album, Surprise, on May 9. It'll be his first new album since 2000's You're The One.
Produced in collaboration with Brian Eno (Talking Heads, U2), Surprise will feature guest appearances by Herbie Hancock, Steve Gadd and Bill Frisell. The record was mixed by Tchad Blake, who has worked with Tom Waits, Los Lobos and Phish.
Simon is scheduled to appear on Saturday Night Live on May 13, and tour plans are in the works.
