Eugene Mirman Protests Himself

In support of (or in opposition to) his new album, En Garde Society!, comedian Eugene Mirman organized a fake protest against himself in Manhattan’s Union Square last week. Protesters followed Mirman down the street to a bar, chanting and holding signs that said “No Blood For Oil Unless It’s Eugene’s” and “God Made Adam and Eve – Not Eugene.” Mirman ordered a bicycle driver to run over his CDs, and an effigy hung from a tree. The protest ended at the Beauty Bar, where it turned into a celebration of the new CD and DVD.
