Les Claypool Releases Animated “Phantom Planet” Video

Alt-rock eccentric Les Claypool, best known for his work with Primus, has finished work on the music video for “Phantom Patriot,” a new single from his latest release Of Whales and Woe.

The video for “Phantom Planet,” featuring the work of German illustrator/animator Derek Roczen, is a vividly animated short featuring a Napoleon-esque sea captain fighting against a fleet of rebel cannonballs. Longtime animation enthusiast, Claypool stumbled upon Roczen’s work and felt it fit his song perfectly.
