New Beck Album Drops Oct. 3

Beck will follow up last year's Guero success with new album The Information, out Oct. 3. Produced by Nigel Godrich (Sea Change, Mutations; Radiohead's OK Computer, Kid A), Beck has been working on the album for three years—long before Guero was released—but had to hold off on finishing it because of touring due to Guero's popularity.

The Information is 15 tracks with accompanying homemade videos on DVD, which were shot in the studio during recording. Keeping in line with his eclectic tendencies, Beck has hand-picked American and European artists to design the collectible sticker sheets that will accompany The Information's blank cover art packaging. "Cell Phone's Dead," one of the tracks from the new disc, will get the Michel Gondry treatment (The Science of Sleep, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind) for its music video.
