Flaming Lips Release Expanded Box Set

More music, more media, more artwork and more eccentricity: This is just what you can expect from The Flaming Lips' latest offering, an expanded edition of their latest release. The CD/DVD set, At War With The Mystics 5.1 Special Edition, will be released on Warner Bros. Records Oct. 24.

Thirteen new tracks — including radio performances, songs making their American debut and covers of Queen, Led Zeppelin and Sonic Youth songs — appear on the expanded album. Meanwhile, the DVD includes videos for "The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song," "Mr. Ambulance Driver," and "The W.A.N.D.," as well as Wayne Coyne's infamous speech delivered at the Classen High graduation for the class of 2006. Topping off the package are expanded liner notes and more of Coyne's artwork.
