Riottt.com - an online community that advocates a non-homogenous, left-of-mainstream forum for all aspects of culture – has announced that it will put on a festival at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on Nov. 11. Be the Riottt is riottt.com's first introduction to the world, and San Francisco seemed an obvious choice due to its progressive culture as well as the fact that there is no yearly festival of the kind in the city.
The festival, called Be the Riottt, will feature live music, art, fashion and dance. Musical acts will include The Rapture, The Wrens, Explosions in the Sky, Metric, Girl Talk, Asobi Seksu, Sage Francis, Clipse, Diplo, Deerhoof and Tokyo Police Club, among others. Acts will entertain from noon to midnight across four stages. One stage will be the home of street culture, art and style.
For those who want to bust a move, the festival is sponsoring the largest dance competition in the U.S., with representatives from Seattle, France, NYC, and Korea.
Riottt.com seeks to create an online community of writers, artists, musicians, designers and activists who want to subvert the status quo and engage like-minded cultural movers.
