O.A.R. Celebrates Career Milestone With Fall Tour

O.A.R., the Everfine/Lava/Atlantic recording group formed in 1996 and known for its grassroots ethic of almost constant touring as well as for its distinct rock-meets-reggae music, heavy on improvisation and introspective lyricism, has reached a career milestone. The band’s cumulative record sales, from its self-released debut album The Wanderer to last year’s Stories of a Stranger, are now in excess of one million records sold.

In celebration of this milestone, O.A.R., which is short for Of A Revolution and consists of singer/guitarist Marc Roberge, lead guitarist Richard On, bassist Benj Gershmann, drummer Chris Culos, and saxophonist Jerry DePizzo, will kick off a month-long North American tour October 12, 2006 in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
