Toyota Releases Hip-Hop Sampler

Toyota is now equipping their rides with tricked-out tracks thanks to the release of a new hip-hop CD sampler and a 12’’ vinyl of jazz/funk revivalists El Michels Affair with Wu-Tang Clan MC Raekwon. The 28-track sampler features a wide range of artists including Ghostface, MF Doom, The Streets and Bloc Party, all mixed by Cosmo Baker and DJ Ayers of Brooklyn’s Rub crew. The new vinyl includes a rendition of Raekwon and Pete Rock’s “The PJs” and an original El Michels Affair song.

Distributed by Scion Audio/Visual, an in-house label of Toyota, the 12’’ vinyl series merges live bands with veteran MCs and singers for a live version of one of the vocalist’s songs. Aloe Blacc, Afrodisiac Sound System, The GZA, Fyre Dept., The Rhythm Roots Allstars and Raheem Devaughn have all appeared on previous releases.
