The nominees for the 2007 Rock āNā Roll Hall of Fame inductions have been announced as follows:
R.E.M.
Van Halen
The Stooges
Patti Smith
The Dave Clark Five
Chic
Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five
Joe Tex
The Ronettes
Five of these acts will be inducted into the Cleveland Museum, and they will be honored in a ceremony in New York. Each year, five acts are inaugurated with only those who released their first single over 25 years ago being eligible.
