Brian Wilson Action Figure To Be Released

Brian Wilson Action Figure To Be Released

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Pet Sounds and in conjunction with Brian Wilson’s upcoming tour, rabid fans and rabid figurine collectors alike will soon be able to own their very own 12-inch action figure version of the legendary Beach Boys frontman.

"Hey, who wouldn't want a little 1966 Brian Wilson watching over their record collection or their recording studio?!" According to BrianWilson.com, such was the thinking of Mark London, friend of Wilson and the designer responsible for the doll.

Clad in the same double-breasted wool coat and plaid pants that Wilson wore on the cover of Pet Sounds, the band’s seminal 1966 release, the action figure will be available for purchase on Wilson’s website and at his upcoming tour stops. Three hundred figures will be available in an exclusive, limited edition box signed by Wilson himself, at $150 a pop. Unsigned (yet still weirdly awesome!) versions of the figure will be available for $75 each.

Wilson’s upcoming tour dates include:
November:
12 – London, England, Adelphi Theatre
17 – Boston, Mass., Orpheum Theatre (w/ Al Jardine)
18 – Washington, D.C., Warner Theatre (w/ Al Jardine)
19 – Glenside, Penn., Keswick Theatre (w/ Al Jardine)
21 – New York, New York, Beacon Theatre (w/ Al Jardine)
22 – New York, New York, Beacon Theatre (w/ Al Jardine)
