Libby Johnson Announces East Coast Tour

On the heels of her first solo release and a featured spot on the soundtrack of the 2005 film Trust the Man, New York City-based singer/songwriter Libby Johnson has announced a tour of the east coast. Johnson released Annabelle, a confessional, guitar-driven album of self-penned tunes, in September 2006 to critical acclaim and increasing buzz.

“Libby's music is so soulful and heartfelt. What she's done for this film reminds me of what Aimee Mann did for Magnolia,” actress Julianne Moore, who co-starred in Trust the Man, said in a statement. Moore stars in the film along with Billy Crudup, Maggie Gyllenhaal, and David Duchovny.

Johnson and her sister Carrie fronted the 90s alternative pop group 22 Brides. Libby and Carrie will take the stage together again at Libby’s November 17th show at Southington, Conn.’s Jitters.
