A recording contract with Epic Records is up for grabs in MusicNation.com’s first-ever online video competition. Launched on November 17th, 2006, the site features submitted videos from bands and musicians around the world, all hoping to be voted in to one of the competition’s top slots by MusicNation.com users and a panel of celebrity judges. Musicians in the genres of rock, pop and urban music are invited to participate.
Contest entry is free until January 1st, 2007, or for as long as the site is in Beta form. After the first of the year, a $25 entry fee will be charged per video. Voting begins January 15th, 2007, at which point MusicNation.com users and the celebrity judges will each select their favorite video per week for fifteen weeks.
One winner from each of the three genres will receive a recording contract with Epic Records, and one grand prize winner will be featured on Stripped an “exclusive in-studio performance series” sponsored by Clear Channel radio.
