Bill Callahan sheds Smog for latest release

After a dozen albums under the moniker Smog, experimental singer-songwriter Bill Callahan has at last shed his polluted past and embraced the name his mother gave him.

Complete with gospel backing vocals from Deani Pugh-Flemmings of the Olivet Baptist Church, Callahan’s Woke on a Whaleheart will hit stores April 17 courtesy of Drag City.
