Guggenheim Grotto Kicks Off First American Tour

Guggenheim Grotto Kicks Off First American Tour

Dublin, Ireland-based folk-pop outfit The Guggenheim Grotto kicks off its first American tour today at New York City’s Apple Store, SoHo location. The band will continue on the road through February, with two nights at LA’s famous Hotel Café venue and a stop at San Francisco’s Apple Store bookending the jaunt.

The Grotto's debut LP, …Waltzing Alone, was released worldwide last fall via UFO Records and earned the band a number of nominations in the 2007 Independent Music Awards. And with a few of their songs already featured on ABC’s Six Degrees and Brothers and Sisters… well, we have a pretty good feeling about what might come next. (Hint: it starts with Gr and ends with ey’s Anatomy.)

The Guggenheim Grotto guys stopped by the Paste offices last fall, where they recorded a performance and interview for the Paste Culture Club (download the episode here) and were introduced to the wonders of Pop Rocks. Additionally, the band is one of the featured artists in Coca-Cola's Global Music Platform. Visit Coke.com for more information.
