Hardships cause some people to throw their hands up, some folks to collapse and others to write songs.
Matthew Ryan wrung out two albums worth of material inspired by the death of a friend and watching his brother sentenced to 30 years in prison. The first, For Blue Skies was by side project Strays Don’t Sleep. From a Late Night High Rise is the most recent, a solo record.
Ryan sets out in early February to tour in support of the latter record that came out December 5, 2006 on the 00:02:59 label. This is Ryan’s first tour since a short stint in November of last year.
