Ralph's World to Play House of Blues, Fillmore

Ralph's World to Play House of Blues, Fillmore

Barney never had it so good. This winter, popular indie-rocking, parent-friendly kiddie music superstar Ralph’s World will criss-cross the United States on a tour of House of Blues venues and other locales usually frequented by fans who, well, don’t bring their parents along in tow.

The sixteen-date tour solidifies the popularity of Ralph’s World among both kids and parents, which had been spreading faster than the flu at a preschool since the release of Ralph’s first album, 2004’s The Amazing Adventures of Kid Astro. After the release of his 2005 album, the Grammy-nominated Green Gorilla Monster & Me, Ralph sold out show at Chicago’s 8,000-seat Ravinia Theatre and the New York Times pegged him as the Elvis of kids’ music— a tough act to follow. But with 2006’s combo CD/DVD release of Welcome to Ralph’s World, a six-song music and video retrospective of his heretofore vibrant career, Ralph seems poised to welcome even more fans into his “world.”

Ralph Covert, the man behind the music, will perform such favorites as the punky “I Don’t Wanna” and the power-pop imbued “Dance Around” on the following tour stops:
