Brandi Carlile to Tour, Release Album

Fresh from playing the Paste Magazine Release Party
last week in New York, singer/songwriter Brandi Carlile soon will embark on a nationwide tour to support her upcoming album, The Story.

The Story, Carlile’s second album, was produced by T-Bone Burnett during an 11-day recording session in Vancouver, and will be released on April 3.

Two acoustic sets at Seattle and Portland listening parties will kick off the headlining tour that will feature a full backing band and appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with Conan O’Brien.

For those who don’t want to wait until the tour officially begins, catch Carlile will play Paste’s SXSW Showcase on March 16 at Austin Music Hall Ballroom.
