It’s been 40 years since the release of Canadian songsmith Leonard Cohen’s first LP, and Legacy Records knows exactly how to celebrate.
On April 24, the Sony BMG division will reissue Cohen’s first three albums, complete with previously unreleased bonus material and newly commissioned liner notes written by Rolling Stone contributing editor Anthony DeCurtis.
These expanded editions of Songs Of Leonard Cohen, Songs From A Room and Songs Of Love And Hate will be packaged in a hardcover digipak, similar to last year’s June Carter Cash retrospective Keep On the Sunny Side.
Be sure to check out issue #29 of Paste for reviews of all three reissues.
