M. Ward is set to release a new single on February 20th-a honky tonk version of “To Go Home,” the Daniel Johnson cover from his latest album, Post-War. The single also includes three unreleased tracks: “Cosmopolitan Pap,” “Human Punching Bag” and “Headed For A Fall,” which feature Neko Case, Howe Gelb and Jim James.
Following the release, he’ll start a new tour in April, opening for Norah Jones. Ward is featured as a guest vocalist on her new album, Not Too Late, so maybe (just maybe!) they’ll do a number or two together at some of the shows.
But it might be a good idea to get on a presale list, considering that 1) M. Ward + Norah Jones = AWESOME, 2) there's a rumor going around that Jones may be appearing on the March cover of Paste, and 3) Ward’s winter solo tour completely sold out.
