The Rapture Sit Atop Throne of Blood

The Rapture has founded its own New York-based record label called Throne of Blood, and the band is throwing a launch party in Brooklyn.

First up for release is a set of vinyl singles and remixes from their current album, Pieces of the People We Love. Throne of Blood will also be releasing vinyl LP editions of complete albums.

The party is on February 16th at Studio B in Brooklyn. Be there, get your own Throne of Blood t-shirt, and see the Rapture perform a "live electronic" set for the first time ever.

The band is currently on the second leg of its U.S. tour in support of Pieces, which was listed among the best albums of 2006 in Rolling Stone, Spin, Pitchfork, and NME. Then it's on to tour Europe in April.
