With his songs already making the rounds on network television and hit movie soundtracks, it may come as a surprise that Cary Brothers is just now getting around to releasing his debut LP. But with Who You Are set for release by Procrastination Records/bluhammock on May 29th, 2007, Brothers’ fans will finally be able to load up on a full dose of the charming acoustic pop that has garnered the singer-songwriter so much praise and attention over the last few years.
Probably best known for “Blue Eyes,” the song he contributed to Zach Braff’s Grammy-winning Garden State soundtrack in 2004, Brothers released a five-track EP in 2005 and was also featured on the soundtrack of The Last Kiss, Braff’s 2006 film.
He also founded the Hotel Café Tour, a roadshow featuring a number of talented musicians with a shared home base of Los Angeles’ Hotel Café venue, sponsored in 2006 by MySpace.com.
