What happens when over 100 of the world’s top musical acts unite for a cause everyone can agree on? No, not a marathon workout mix, silly.
We’re talking about Live Earth, a series of eight simultaneous 24-hour concerts on July 7, one for each continent and two for Asia.
Spearheaded by Al Gore, Kevin Wall, Pharrell, Maná and Cameron Diaz, the unprecedented day of music will reach more than one million audience members and more than two billion viewers worldwide via TV, radio and internet distribution. With concerts in Shanghai, Sydney, Johannesburg, London, Brazil, Japan, the eastern United States and Antarctica, the event hopes to bring universal awareness to the threat of global warming.
