Radio on the TV: From the Top Debuts on PBS

Radio on the TV: From the Top Debuts on PBS

The radio star didn’t get killed, he just moved to video. NPR’s From the Top will soon show up on PBS as From the Top: Live From Carnegie Hall, a weekly broadcast featuring, as the radio show does, classical musicians aged eight to 18.

The PBS show will be hosted by Christopher O’Riley, who also hosts the radio show, and will feature interviews and skits as well as performances by the young musicians. The NPR show will continue running on its current schedule.

You may know O’Riley as the piano cover album guy; he’s released records of songs by Radiohead and Elliot Smith. His latest effort, Second Grace – The Music of Nick Drake is due out April 10.
